1933 marked an important year for design innovation on the new Ford models, as all-new revised grilles, fenders and body lines were utilized to dramatically reintroduce the model to the American public. The car appeared more modern and was very well received given the attractiveness of the model and the reasonable price.
Offered here from the Robson Collection is a very interesting lot that will offer the next owner the distinct and unique possibility of completing what was started as a full body-off restoration to stock or custom car standards. Robson was having this 1933 Three Window Coupe restored by well-known V-8 restorer Ernest Allen, however, Allen passed away after becoming ill, and Robson chose to set it up as a display piece.
While the Ford is very complete, we recommend viewing it onsite to verify everything that accompanies the car in its sale. Some of the most notable items include the original fenders, rumble seat, grille and a factory radio that replaced the glovebox, as well as original items such as the unrestored Mohair interior, leather in the rumble seat and dashboard, just to name a few. Notably, the optional 221 cu. in. Flathead aluminum block engine has been restored as well. We also understand that a large portion of the drivetrain has also been restored.
